SANTA CATALINA
keep in mind before going to Santa Catalina that we are a "dead end" village; and you probably don't want to lose half a day going to next city because you forgot your toothpast! So take care before leaving SONA to go to the last cash machine and the last gasoline station. Even if the closer hospital is only 20 km from Catalina it's only open in the morning; a pharmacy is now open in town. Special diet products can be hard to find outside Santiago main shops. Suncream; mosquitoes repellent and good wine are sometimes missing in our shops.
The best mobil network here is +mobil; Tigo can be ok. You can find some really good wifi hotspot in some restaurants (but don't expect to download a full season of game of throne)
Santa Catalina is subject to frequent power cuts; both dry and rainy season; causing network interruptions...

ECOLODGE DESEO BAMBOO
As strange as it may seem; you will find in Catalina one of the best sushi bar in Central America. To be even a little stranger he is held by an italian. On the top of the hill you will find the ECOLODGE DESEO BAMBOO.
Beautiful bamboo huts; yoga; japonese food and party during the dry season; a place you can't miss during your trip.
TIKI BAR / LODGE COOL INSIDE
The central restaurant bar of Catalina; they serve the best burgers (veggie one are just incredible); an amazing red tuna and lot more.
If your are looking for a music bar with fresh fruits cocktails and a nice ambience to chill out you are at the right place.
Definitely my favorite restaurant. Juan and Chris welcome you on the terrace of the restaurant; Chris will offer homemade cocktails and drinks while Juan cooks his trio of burgers; his tuna Tataki ... Little bit more expensive than the others but really worth it!!!
EL PACIFICO
The local one; a good Ceviche; fresh fish; octopus or chiken salsa casera for few dollars; cheap beers... just 20 meters from the beach that's the place to discover Santa Catalina
JAMMIN PIZZERIA
Wood oven for baking great pizza. In the garden or under the terrace; drinking a perfect Mojito and eating a crusty delicious pizza. you always spend a good moment in Jammin.
SURFER PARADISE; VISTA COIBA
2 perfect place for a sunset drink. At Surfer Paradise you can as well have a good and cheap lunch facing the Pacific Ocean.
